Helen Tavetian, AMFT
Primary Therapist
Helen Tavetian is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in the treatment of OCD and related disorders. She is trained in evidence-based interventions such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Comprehensive Behavioral Model (ComB), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
Helen holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s in Art History and Studio Arts from Occidental College. Her vast professional experience includes working in a locked psychiatric facility and as a crisis intervention therapist, both experiences that deepened her compassion and enhanced her creative problem-solving skills.
Outside of her practice, Helen enjoys working with animals, creating art, and exploring the cultural offerings of Los Angeles. She also loves visiting the beach, spending time with friends, and exploring LA’s flea markets. Helen is dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they navigate their mental health journeys, helping them discover a life filled with beauty and joy.
